For My Weibel im Dreiklang Sursee, the goal was to create a lively yet comfortable café environment where acoustics play a key role alongside atmosphere. The concept by Beck Konzept AG integrates spatial identity, branding and user experience from the outset.
At the centre of the space is a large, wave-shaped acoustic ceiling – visually linked to the bar, which evokes the form of a Viking ship, and conceptually referencing the movement of the sea.
From schneiderbrett’s perspective, the ceiling geometry was refined and translated into a precise, production-ready system. The flowing form was developed into over 600 individual elements, each defined, dimensioned and coordinated to achieve a continuous and coherent surface. Particular focus was placed on maintaining the visual lightness of the wave while ensuring structural clarity and efficient installation.
Realised with ECHOJAZZ and partner Bellton AG, the system delivers both acoustic performance and a strong spatial identity, creating a comfortable environment for guests and staff alike.
A large-scale acoustic ceiling, engineered from a freeform concept into a precise system – enhancing both sound quality and spatial storytelling in a highly frequented hospitality setting.
