In the pool and wellness area of the Nature Resort Ötztal, the goal was to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere – despite high activity levels, particularly in the children’s zone.
At the centre of the solution is a full-surface, wave-shaped baffle ceiling that defines both the acoustic and visual character of the space.
From schneiderbrett’s perspective, the ceiling geometry was refined and developed into a coherent, buildable system. The flowing wave form was carefully adjusted to create a calm overall appearance while ensuring technical feasibility, efficient segmentation and clean integration into the architectural context.
Realised with ECHOJAZZ, the ceiling provides effective sound absorption, significantly reducing noise levels and enhancing the overall sense of comfort. At the same time, its soft, rhythmic structure complements the resort’s material palette of wood and stone, reinforcing the connection to the surrounding alpine landscape.
A fully integrated acoustic ceiling that combines performance and atmosphere – transforming a lively pool area into a space of relaxation, balance and wellbeing.
