How can global beverage logistics reduce waste without compromising transport efficiency? Heineken’s BrewLock system uses recyclable PET barrels to ship draft beer worldwide—traditionally relying on single-use cardboard boxes for transport. Designed for the Nimble Bee Design Competition, BREWPACK offers a durable, reusable packaging concept engineered specifically for the BrewLock barrel.
Mentored by Michał Stefanowski at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, the design features a custom nestable lid and modular structure. When empty, the containers stack compactly inside one another, cutting return-transport volume by 33%. This space-saving, circular logistics solution secured 2nd place (Silver Award) in the global Heineken challenge.
